WRITING
I started writing when I was around four or five years old. Growing up in a bilingual home, language was always an important part of my world, and writing became a natural way for me to express ideas, observations, and imagination.
I wrote my first poems at the age of eight or nine, followed by song lyrics, music and, later, interviews, articles, and opinion pieces.
For around 11 years, I had my own regular column in MEDIUM magazine, writing about a wide range of topics.
I also developed and pitched the column concept Hva livet har lært meg (What Life Has Taught Me) to VG, one of Norway's largest newspapers.
Over the years, I have written for publications including Reader's Digest, Natur&Foto, Dagens Perspektiv, Samtiden, and others, covering subjects ranging from culture and creativity to people, society, nature, science, technology, spirituality and the questions and people that fascinate me.
Writing remains an important part of my creative life — whether through journalism, essays, interviews, opinion pieces, poetry, or songwriting. For me, words are another creative medium: a way of exploring ideas, asking questions, telling stories, and making connections.
I also have several book ideas waiting in the wings.
Perhaps one day they will find their way onto the page.
